How free are we?

I am an itinerant professional actor in all the mediums, theater tv and film. At the moment my perspective on the subjects I write about seems conditioned by being that actor: a long list of Shakespeares etc, and having decided early on to not go to University. As I see the discussions of the modern worlds various insanities it seems they are hugely circumscribed and limited by the very narrow perspective of the very narrowly educated. It is stunning, to me, the them and the us, when we really might need a Martians view to see anything at all and break from the refrain: we just need more education.
